Demi Moore’s Credit Card Stolen, Charged Over $169,000

TMZ reports that Demi Moore’s credit card was stolen and used in a case of fraud, stealing over $169,000. David Matthew Read, 35, has been accused of reporting that Moore’s American Express card was lost or stolen in March. The new one was delivered by FedEx and he was able to obtain it.

Once Read got the card, police say he went to several Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue stores in Los Angeles, hitting the total amount of $169,000 over several weeks. He was seen on surveillance cameras at the FedEx and inside the stores, before confessing to the crime in April. He’s currently in Los Angeles County Jail.
