Disney+ Developing WandaVision Spinoff Starring Kathryn Hahn

Disney is doubling down on its Marvel Cinematic Universe witches, developing a WandaVision spinoff starring Kathryn Hahn. Variety reports that Marvel Studios is developing a spinoff described as a “dark comedy” centered on Hahn’s character of Agatha Harkness. Jac Schaeffer, who was the head writer for WandaVision, will write and executive produce the project should it be ordered to series.

Plot details are being kept under wraps of course. Hahn played Harkness, an ancient witch who became the chief adversary for Wanda in the series. When we last saw her in the show’s finale, she had been forced back into her Westview persona of Agnes.

Hahn picked up an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series for her work as Agatha, one of 23 nominations. Agatha’s theme song “Agatha All Along” won an Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.
