Doctor Who Subbing Christmas Special For New Year’s Day Episode

Doctor Who is changing out specials for the holiday season, moving from Christmas to New Year’s Day. Deadline reports that the show will run its first-ever New Year’s Day special, titled “Who’s Year’s Day.” In addition, a marathon will air on BBC America starting at 12 PM ET/PT through Christmas Day featuriong all of the previous Christmas specials.

The new episode is described as follows: “As the New Year begins, a terrifying evil is stirring from across the centuries of Earth’s history. Will the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker), Ryan (Tosin Cole), Graham (Bradley Walsh) and Yaz (Mandip Gill) be able to overcome this threat to Planet Earth?”
