Donald Trump Says He Would Beat Oprah If She Ran For President

Donald Trump was asked today if he would beat Oprah Winfrey if she ran for President in 2020. Trump said he would, noting that he knows Oprah well, was one of the final guests on her show, and that he likes her and doesn’t think she will actually run. He also said it would be a “lot of fun” to run against her. Trump has said in the past that he “adores” Oprah and considered her as a potential Vice Presidential pick when he was trying to get the Reform Party Presidential nomination in 2000.

“I’d beat Oprah,” Trump said. “Oprah would be a lot of fun. I know her very well. … I like Oprah. I don’t think she’s going to run. I don’t think she’s going to run.”

Speculation around Oprah running for President skyrocketed after her speech at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night. Her best friend, Gayle King, said on CBS This Morning that while she thinks Oprah is “intrigued” about running for President, she doesn’t think she is actually considering it.
