Emilia Clarke Believes Game of Thrones Will Have Multiple Series Endings Filmed

Khaleesi may be fighting for control of the Seven Kingdoms, but she doesn’t know how it will end. Emilia Clarke said in a new interview on the Awards Chatter podcast for THR that she believes Game of Thrones will end up with multiple series endings filmed.

“I think they’re filming a bunch of stuff and they’re not telling us,” Clarke said, noting that she doesn’t know who ends up on the Iron Throne despite having read the script for the series finale. “I’m being serious!”

Clarke said about reading the scripts last year, “Holy moly, it took me a couple of hours to come down from that. That was like the most intense reading experience of my life.” She added that she believes the showrunners and producers may have added or changed elements during the ongoing production.

“Since then, people are saying something on set, and you’re just like, ‘I think that they’re filming other stuff,’” she said. “Everyone’s being really cagey about it… There’s lots of different endings that could happen. I think we’re doing all of them and we aren’t being told which is actually what’s going to happen.”

The eighth and final season of the show premieres next year.
