Emma Watson has donated over $1.4 million to help launch the UK’s equivalent to America’s Times Up movement. The BBC reports that Watson donated £1 million (roughly $1,404,553) to the Justice and Equality Fund, which is dedicated to “challeng[ing] the sexual harassment, assault and discrimination that persists across all industries and sections of society.”

The fund was “inspired by the phenomenal campaigners of #metoo, TIME’S UP, Ni Nunca Mas, the #lifeinleggings movement and others,” according to their GoFundMe page. Over $2 million has been raised for the fund thus far.

Watson was one of the signatories to an open letter announcing the fund’s launch. The letter was signed by over 200 people in the film industry including Emilia Clarke, Emma Watson, Naomie Harris, Poppy Delevigne, Noma Dumezweni, Gemma Arterton, Nicola Walker, Noomi Rapace, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Emma Thompson, Thandie Newton, Ophelia Lovibond, Saoirse Ronan, Samantha Morton, and Carey Mulligan. The fund was launched on the same day as the BAFTA Awards.
