Former Spider-Man Writer Shares His One Complaint About Avengers: Endgame
Dan Slott, best known for his work on Spider-Man, had one complaint about Avengers: Endgame. Slott has worked on a host of Marvel Comics over the years and is currently writing Tony Stark: Iron Man and Fantastic Four, but perhaps his most famous (or infamous) moment is The Amazing Spider-Man #700 when he had Peter Parker and Otto Octavius switch bodies just as Doc Ock was dying, killing Peter (and in turn getting Slott death threats. Peter got better eventually). Occasionally he chimes in on the MCU though, and he posted to Twitter to note that he loved most of Endgame except when Spider-Man got a little bit brutal in the climactic battle.
Slott posted the following, in reference to Peter’s “Instant Kill Mode” activating during the fight when he’s surrounded by Outriders. It’s worth noting that there’s no confirmation that the suit actually killed anyone, and Peter may well have still used the enhanced power of the mode in a non-lethal way. Either way, as you can see Slott made it clear he was just stating his own opinion and otherwise enjoyed the film:
Confession:
There was 1 moment I did NOT like in all of AVENGERS: ENDGAME.This.
Peter Parker shouldn't kill. Even when it comes to Thanos' evil army of alien spacehounds.
But not liking 1 moment out of 3 hours and 2 minutes ain't that bad. 🙂 pic.twitter.com/GAhuZslVgf

I know this is a crazy caveat to add to any post.
I know it's basic, common sense, but…
The above tweet is my *personal* opinion on the matter.
And it's a personal opinion about a *fictional* character.
It's okay if *your* opinion on this is different.
It's all good. pic.twitter.com/t1Sn9hecF8
