20th Century Fox is still moving forward with film adaptations of R.L. Stine’s Fear Street novel series. Stine has confirmed on Twitter that the three films based on the books are still in development.

Leigh Janiak is overseeing the writing the three scripts and will direct, with the films being shot back to back to back. The stories will take place over different time periods. Kyle Killen wrote the first film, Zak Olkewicz the second, and Silka Luisa the third.

The Fear Street series is a horror series for teenage readers that Stine began in 1989, set in the fictional town of Shadyside.
