Brian Cogman just finished with Westeros, and now he’s booking a flight to Middle-Earth. Variety reports that Cogman, who wrote eleven episodes of Game of Thrones including the final season’s second, has joined Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series as a consultant.

Cogman will work with JD Payne and Patrick McKay, who are developing the series adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien novels. He was originally set to follow up Thrones with one of the potential spinoff series, but revealed in April that his pitch was not moving forward.

We still don’t know much about the Rings series, though some reports have said that it will feature new stories preceding the events of The Fellowship of the Ring. As of now, that is not confirmed though. There is no premiere date set.
