Game of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson, aka The Mountain, set a new deadlift world record at the Arnold Strongman Classic. You can see video of Bjornsson deadlifting literally half a ton — 1,041 pounds, to be specific — during the ROGUE Elephant Bar Deadlift portion of the strongman competition at the sports event in Columbus, Ohio last week.

Bjornsson has previously shown off impressive feats of strength, including breaking a world record at the Arnold Classic in 2015 for height on throwing a 56-pound kettle bell throw (nineteen fight, three inches) and breaking a keg toss record later that year.

Bjornsson, who plays Gregor Clegane (aka the undead Ser Robert Strong) on the HBO series, won the overall competition and took home $72,000.
