Gillian Anderson Not Returning For American Gods Season Two

Gillian Anderson has confirmed that she’s leaving American Gods. Anderson, who played the New God Media in the first season of the Starz adaptation, confirmed (via TV Line) at the TCA winter press tour that she is leaving the show.

“I’m not doing any more American Gods,” Anderson told reporters. Anderson’s exit follows the departure of showrunners Bryan Fuller and Michael Green, who left the show six weeks ago due to creative differences with Fremantle Media regarding the second season.
