Gina Carano Joins The Cast Of The Mandalorian

Variety reports that Gina Carano has joined the cast of the upcoming Star Wars series The Mandalorian, joining Pedro Pascal. The series was written by Jon Favreau, who will executive produce with director Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson and Karen Gilchrist. Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa and Deborah Chow will also direct. It will debut on Disney+ sometime after the service launches next year.

Here’s a synopsis: After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
