Gore Verbinski No Longer Directing Gambit

Gore Verbinski has stepped away from directing Gambit. Verbinski left the film on good terms due to scheduling issues, according to Deadline. Channing Tatum is still set to star in the film.

The movie also stars Lizzy Caplan as Bella Donna Boudreaux, Gambit’s first love and the daughter of New Orleans’ Assassins’ Guild in the comics. Verbinski’s departure follows the previous departures of Doug Liman and Rupert Wyatt fromn the director’s chair for different reasons.
