Halloween Reboot Trailer Coming Next Month
In a post on Twitter, Blumhouse producer Jason Blum revealed that a trailer for the upcoming Halloween reboot will debut early next month. He wrote:
And while I’m twittering as opposed to “tweeting” I want to assure #Halloween fans that we hear you. We have read your comments. And I can assure you that early June will be a happy time for you or perhaps I should say for most of you. xx

The film is expected to ignore every film in the series except for the original 1978 classic. It is directed by David Gordon Green from a script he wrote with Danny McBride. It stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney. John Carpenter will score the film and executive produce with Malek Akkad (Trancas), Jason Blum (Blumhouse), Green and McBride (Rough House Pictures), along with Zanne Devine and David Thwaites for Miramax, which is co-financing. The film arrives on October 19, 2018.
Here’s a synopsis: In the film, Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role of Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
