Harley Quinn And Joker Are Broken Up, According to Birds of Prey Cast Member

Looks like someone spilled the beans on a Harley Quinn-centric plot detail for Birds of Prey. In a now-deleted tweet (per Uproxx), actor Robert Catrini commented on his work filming scenes as Stefano Galante in the upcoming DC Extended Universe film. While talking about his work on the film, he happened to mention that Margot Robbie’s Harley and Jared Leto’s Joker are no longer together.

“I’ll be a little busy this week,” Catrini wrote. “#BirdsOfPrey #HarleyQuinn & #TheJoker broke up. She has a few new interesting friends. They do NOT like me.”

The bit is the latest piece of evidence that Harley and Joker are no longer an item by the time of the film’s events. To start with, there’s the title — the full version of which is Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), which sounds like she has gained her freedom from her ex. And as you can see below, set photos noted that Harley’s “Puddin'” tattoo has been crossed out.

The film is set to open on February 7th, 2020 and stars Robbie alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain/Batgirl, Ewan McGregor as Black Mask, and Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya. Ali Wong, Robert Catrini, Chris Messina, Steven Williams and Derek Wilson are also appearing in the film.
