Harvey Weinstein Hit With Three New Sexual Assault Charges

Things just went from bad to worse for Harvey Weinstein. TMZ reports that the Hollywood mogul has been hit with three new sexual assault charges by a grand jury in Manhattan. The charges from an alleged sexual assault from a woman on July 10, 2006, and were announced by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. earlier today. Weinstein was charged with a first degree criminal sexual act and two counts of predatory sexual assault. According to the charges, Weinstein forced oral sex on the woman in question. All of the charges are felonies. The minimum sentence is ten years with a maximum of life in prison.

The woman’s name was not given, but according to TMZ, it sounds like the case of Mimi Haleyi, which was revealed during a news conference last year with her attorney Gloria Allred. She claimed that she was assaulted in 2006. Weinstein is currently facing three more charges for attacks on two women in 2004 and 2013.
