HBO Reveals Three New Teasers For Watchmen Miniseries
HBO has unveiled three new teaser videos looking at Regina King’s character in the upcoming Watchmen miniseries. You can check out the clips below, which hint at King’s role of Angela Abar. Little is known of the character, who appears to be some sort of police officer and masked vigilante.
The series will premiere this fall and is created, written and guided by Damon Lindelof. Set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.
Lindelof’s take will be an original story with new faces and unknown characters introduced into the universe that he intends to remix. The cast includes Jeremy Irons as an older Ozymandias, King, Don Johnson, Louis Gossett Jr., Tim Blake Nelson, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Sara Vickers, Tom Mison, Jean Smart as a mysterious FBI agent, and James Wolk.
