Full House is coming to Hulu

Friday nights were a special time in the 90s for TV junkies, as it meant ABC would air their ‘TGIF’ block, full of many of the classic shows 90s kids grew up with. Now you can have TGIF every day of the week, because Hulu is adding several 90s sitcom classics this September. Deadline reports that the streaming service will add every season of Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, Prefect Strangers and Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper as part of a new SVOD deal with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. That’s over 800 episodes of content.

The shows will begin streaming on September 29, which is the 30th anniversary of Full House and the 25th of Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.. Perfect Strangers joined in 1988, followed by Family Matters in 1989 and Step by Step in 1991.

Hulu’s SVP of Content Craig Erwich said: “These shows are more than just beloved hits, they were part of a cultural tradition to tune in every Friday night. Now, it can be Friday any day of the week on Hulu.

Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution President Ken Werner said: “With this acquisition, Hulu is making available to their subscribers one of the most popular comedy blocks of programming ever. These hit family comedies have entertained viewers for decades and will now be available on SVOD.
