I May Destroy You Creator, Star Michaela Coel Joins Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Wakanda just got a new resident in Michaela Coel, who has joined the cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Variety reports that Coel, who won multiple BAFTAs and is nominated four Primetime Emmy Awards for the HBO/BBC One series I May Destroy You, has joined the film in an unspecified role.

Cole has joined the production of the Ryan Coogler-directed film in Atlanta, where she is set to star with Winston Duke as M’Baku, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Angela Bassett as Romonda, as well as Tenoch Huerta who is reportedly set to play the villain. Marvel Studios has yet to confirm any of thes castings, nor the plot of the film which is set to release on July 8th, 2022.
