Ice Cube in Talks to Star Opposite Batista in The Killer’s Game

Deadline reports that Ice Cube is currently in talks to join the cast of The Killer’s Game alongside former WWE Superstar Batista (aka Dave Bautista). The project is being written by Dark Phoenix filmmaker Simon Kinberg and Rand Ravich, based on the Jay Bonansinga novel.

DJ Caruso is attached to direct the project starting in October for STX and Endurance. The film will see Bautista play an elite hitman named Joe Flood who learns that he’s dying of a terminal disease. As a devout catholic, he refuses to commit suicide and takes out a contract on himself to make sure the woman he loves will be financially stable. However, he later learns he’s been misdiagnosed, and he now has to protect his lover from several assassins who want his bounty.

Ice Cube would be playing one of the assassins targeting Batista. Andrew Lazar is producing the project with Endurance’s Steve Richards, Scott Lambert and Kia Jam.
