It looks like The Flash is getting a second run at the big screen, with It director Andy Muschietti in talks to helm. Deadline reports that Muschietti, who directed both films in the Stephen King franchise, is speaking with Warner Bros. to direct the DC superhero film. No official offer has been been extended, but the site says discussions are taking place.

The film has had been trying to get going since the DC Extended Universe was launched, but ran into trouble after Rick Famuyiwa exited as director. Ezra Miller was reported to be writing a draft of the script that he would star in, and Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey) is writing the latest draft.

There’s no word on whether the film will retain the Flashpoint story arc that was originally planned to be adapted from the comics.
