Jade Bartlett to Write Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

– Marvel is moving ahead with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, tapping a writer for the film. Collider reports that Marvel Studios has set Jade Bartlett (Miller’s Girl) to script the film, which will be the second solo outing for Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme.

The film was announced at San Diego Comic-Con as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Four. Scott Derrickson is back to direct the film, which will also feature Elizabeth Olsen reprising her role as Scarlet Witch. The film is opening on May 7th, 2021 which will be right around the premiere date for Scarlet Witch’s Disney+ series with Paul Bettany’s Vision, WandaVision.

Multiverse of Madness will be the first MCU to tap heavily into gothic and horror elements. Marvel has yet to comment on the report of Bartlett writing the film.
