James Gunn Promises Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Won’t Be Called Asgardians of the Galaxy

Apparently people are worried about the title for Guardians of the Galaxy 3, but worry not, folks … James Gunn has your back. Gunn took to Instagram (per CBR) to respond to those who have been concerned that the upcoming third film in the franchise would be titled Asgardians of the Galaxy, saying simply, “Don’t worry” in an Instagram story post over a repeated request not to allow the film to have that title.

Speculation that the third film would have that title comes from Chris Hemsworth’s Thor referrring to the team as “Asgardians of the Galaxy.” The phrase is also the title of a recent Marvel Comic, which was unrelated to the main Guardians team. While Hemsworth has expressed interest in being in the third Guardians films, it appears he will not be shoehorned into the title.
