James Gunn Says The Suicide Squad Is Nearly 100% Complete
The Suicide Squad is set to arrive later this year, and James Gunn says he’s almost completely finished with the DCEU sequel. The writer-director of the film posted to Twitter to respond to a fan question about its status and said that he’s “a hair’s-breadth from being completely finished” with his work on the movie.

Gunn directs from his own script with a cast that includes Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Peter Capaldi, Sylvester Stallone, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Alice Braga, Pete Davidson, David Dastmalchian, Michael Rooker, Taika Waititi, Nathan Fillion, Storm Reid, Daniela Melchior, Steve Agee, Sean Gunn, and Joaquín Cosío. Asked about when we might see a trailer, Gunn said:
“I know, I know. You want the trailer. Or the teaser. Or more news. Or who the baddie is (they ALL are the baddies but also…) Anyway this will all be with you in due time, I’m working on cool stuff for you, but please be patient!”
