James Gunn Has Turned In His First Draft For Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

James Gunn’s first draft of his script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Kevin Feige has confirmed that pre-production will begin soon on the film in an interview with Collider, with filming set to begin early next year.

“[Writer/director] James [Gunn] has delivered a draft and we begin official pre-production on that very, very soon,” Feige said. “It’ll be shooting early next year.”

Gunn has been working on the script right around when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 released in May of 2017. He has previously said that the third film will be the conclusion of this chapter of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and the current lineup. Vol. 3 is set to release sometime in 2020.
