Earlier this month, ESPN suspended Jemele Hill after she called for a boycott of the Dallas Cowboys, following owner Jerry Jones’ statement that if players continue to kneel during the National Anthem, he will bench them. Hill spoke to TMZ about her suspension, saying that she doesn’t blame them for doing what they did. She was suspended for two weeks and will return to work on Monday. At the time, ESPN claimed that she violated their social media policy. While her co-workers, celebrities, athletes and activists spoke against ESPN, Hill thinks she was treated fairly.

She said: “I put ESPN in a bad spot. I deserved a suspension. I violated the policy. Going forward we’ll be in a good, healthy place.

When asked about her statements about Donald Trump, she said she won’t take that back but she regrets putting ESPN in a difficult position. She added: “I don’t feel suppressed. I love ESPN as much as ever. I am okay. I feel good.
