Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux May Not Have Been Married

As we reported yesterday, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux ended their relationship last year, following two and a half years of marriage. Or so we thought, as it seems TMZ has discovered an odd twist to the story. The two were reported to have been married on August 5, 2015 at their mansion in Bel-Air. However, the website did a search of court records and couldn’t find any.

Marriage records in Los Angeles county were checked going back to 2010, with no record of a marriage license found. While it’s possible to get a confidential marriage license, the two didn’t get one in LA county. It’s possible they simply went to another of the 57 counties in California. Sources claim that there has been talk for some time that they aren’t legally married. Meanwhile, several divorce lawyers have said they have not been contacted by Aniston or Theroux.
