Jennifer Tilly was a big part of Chucky’s life in the latter stages of Don Mancini’s Child’s Play franchise, and she’s confirmed she’ll be in the SyFy series as well. Tilly spoke with Page Six about the now-official series, which franchise creator Mancini is creating with Nick Antosca. Speaking with Page Six about the series, Tilly said she’s looking forward to being involved.

“I’m so excited,” Tilly told the site. “Don Mancini, who created Chucky 30 years ago, is the writer on this series, so it’s the original Chucky. A little bird told me that I am going to be a part of it.”

Tilly starred in 1998’s Bride of Chucky as well as its follow-ups Seed of Chucky, Curse of Chucky, and Cult of Chucky as Tiffany Valentine, as well as playing herself in Seed of Chucky. There’s no confirmation as of yet whether she’ll reprise her role of Tiffany, though it seems likely.

The series begins filming this summer and is described as follows:

After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets.

Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.
