Jodie Comer Reportedly Eyed to Star in Mad Max: Furiosa

George Miller is making plans for Mad Max: Furiosa, and a new report says that Jodie Comer is (or was) being eyed for the role. THR’s Heat Vision reports that Miller was considering the Killing Eve star for the role as of a few months ago.

There’s no word on whether Comer is still in the running for the role, which would see her potentially take up the torch from Charlize Theron who played Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road who will not return due to the film’s prequel nature. Miller is looking for a 20-something actor for the part, which will explore Furiosa as she goes from living in the Green Place to becoming the warrior we see in Fury Road.

Comer won the Emmy Award for Best Actress last year for her role as the assassin Villanelle in the BBC America drama, which sees her star opposite Michelle Oh. Killing Eve premiered its third season last month.
