John Cena Returns in Official Teaser Trailer for Peacemaker Season 2

Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios have officially debuted the teaser trailer for Peacemaker Season 2. The hit series, starring WWE Undisputed Champion John Cena as Peacemaker, returns on Max later this August. You can check out the newly revealed teaser below.

The new season follows the vigilante superhero Christopher Smith (Cena), aka Peacemaker, as he seeks to reconcile his past with a newfound sense of purpose, while continuing to kick the buts of evildoers in his misguided quest for peace at any cost. Season 2’s returning cast includes Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, Robert Patrick, and, of course, Eagly (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker), return for season two.

New cast members include Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez, and Tim Meadows. Grillo reprises his role as Rick Flagg Sr. following his animated debut as the character in the DC animated series, Creature Commandos, which came out last year. Nathan Fillion and Isabela Merced also appear in the trailer, reprising their respective roles as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern and Shayera Hol/Hawk Girl from DC’s Superman, which hits theaters in July.

James Gunn writes all eight episodes of Season 2 and directs three, including the season premiere. Gunn, Peter Safran, and John Cena serve as executive producers. Greg Mottola, Peter Sollett, and Althea Jones also serve as episodic directors. The series is produced by Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Peacemaker Season 2, starring John Cena, premieres on August 21 on Max.
