John Wick Creator Joins Falcon and the Winter Soldier Creative Team

Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Soldier has just received some extra action cred in the form of John Wick’s creator. The Wrap reports that Derek Kolstad has joined the writing team for the series, which will bring back Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as their Marvel Cinematic Universe characters in a six-episode action-thriller that will connect to the larger MCU.

Kolstad created the John Wick franchise and has written all three films to date. Meanwhile, the series is also expected to bring back Daniel Brujl & Emily VanCamp as Helmut Zemo and Sharon Carter. The series is expected to arrive on Disney+ in August of 2020.
