Coming Soon reports that Ryan Fletcher and Hainsley Lloyd Bennett have joined the cast of Epix’s new series Pennyworth, joining Jack Bannon as Alfred Pennyworth and Ben Aldridge as Thomas Wayne.

Fletcher will play Dave Boy, “a haggard Highland Scotsman who is slowly drinking himself to death since leaving the army. He is a close ally of Alfred and Bazza and also the most unpredictable of the trio.”

Bennett will play Bazza, “a posh Bajan playboy who is highly proficient at logistics and a valued member of Alfred’s team. Dave Boy and Bazza are both lifelong friends of Alfred’s from their army days serving in the same corps.”

The series follows Alfred, a former British SAS soldier in his 20s who creates a security company and begins work with Thomas Wayne in 1960s London. Bruce Wayne has not been born when this series takes place. The Alfred in this show is descirbed as “a boyishly handsome, cheerful, charming, clever young man from London. You would never take him for an SAS killer, thanks to his honest, open-faced, and witty demeanor. Alfred doesn’t know how to reconcile the kind-hearted boy he used to be with the cold, calculated killer he was forced to become, and he doesn’t know what to make of himself yet.”

The series will be written and executive produced by Bruno Heller, with Danny Cannon executive producing. It’s a one-hour drama that will run for ten episodes. Production begins on October 22 at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK.
