June 17, 2017 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

Per TMZ, a mistrial was declared in the sexual assault trial against actor and comedian Bill Cosby. Jurors were unable to reach a verdict on three counts of sexual assault against Cosby.

Additionally, prosecutors are declaring they will retry the case later on. The jury deliberated for more than five days on the verdict. On Friday (June 16), the jury informed the judge that they were deadlocked after 53 hours of deliberations. The judge then told the jury to try and reach a decision by not allowing them to leave until 9:30PM. Cosby reportedly didn’t show any emotion when the judge declared the mistrial.

After the mistrial was declared, a spokesperson for Cosby’s P.R. team read a statement from his wife Camille, who slammed the prosecutors, the judge and media for what she said was unethical and deceitful conduct. According to prosecutors, they want to retry the case within four months.
