Judge Denies Jared Fogle’s Request For Early Prison Release

TMZ reports that Judge Tanya Pratt has denied Jared Fogle’s request for an early prison release. Pratt is the same judge who sentenced Fogle to fifteen years in prison for child pornography and engaging in sex acts with minors, among other charges.

Fogle prepared legal documents himself in the prison library and claimed that Pratt didn’t have the jurisdiction to hear the criminal case. He said this was because the charges required proof that he went from one state to another for the sex acts and everything he did was only in one state. Pratt said the argument was “frivolous” and federal law covers the crimes. Judge Pratt also invited Fogle to take the case to a higher court if he wanted.
