Kate McKinnon Signs on as Elizabeth Holmes for Hulu Limited Series The Dropout

Deadline.com reports that SNL alum Kate McKinnon has signed on to star in the upcoming Hulu limited series The Dropout. She is set to play Theranos founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes.

Fox Searchlight’s new TV division is producing the series for Hulu. It will be based on the podcast of the name from ABC Radio that aired in January chronicling the rise and fall of Theranos, similar to the HBO documentary.

The limited series is being developed for a 6-10 episode run. Kate McKinnon will executive produce the show alongside Dropout podcast host and creator Rebecca Jarvis. Podcast producers Taylor Dunn and Victoria Thompson are also serving as producers on the show.

Additionally, Jennifer Lawrence is also attached to play Holmes in the planned film Bad Blood from Adam McKay.
