For those who were worried about the Merc with a Mouth’s next film now that he’s officially owned by Disney, worry no more. In an interview with Collider, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that Deadpool 3 is on the way, perhaps more importantly, will be R-rated like the first two films.

He said: “It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now… It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.

While it had been previously reported the film would be R-rated, this is the first time anyone at Marvel’s given an official statement about it. The latest film will be written by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin. A director has not been hired yet, but Ryan Reynolds will be back to play Wade Wilson.
