Kevin Smith Makes His Case for Jon Hamm as Batman

In a recent post on his Instagram account, filmmaker Kevin Smith shared a photo with him and Jon Hamm. In the caption, Smith made his case for why he thinks the 47-year-old actor is the perfect choice to play Batman onscreen, noting how much he looks like Bruce Wayne in a suit. Jon Hamm in the past has expressed that he is open to playing the role. Director Matt Reeves is currently attached for the next Batman film. It’s not yet clear if DCEU star, Ben Affleck, who played the character in three films, will return to the role, but it seems unlikely.

The new Batman movie does not yet have an official release date and is still in the pre-production stage for DC Entertainment and Warner Bros.
