Kevin Smith Is Taking Jay & Silent Bob Out of Moose Jaws

Kevin Smith’s upcoming horror flick Moose Jaws will be without his iconic duo of Jay & Silent Bob. Smith spoke with Jake Hamilton and talked about the upcoming film, which will be the final movie of his True North Trilogy after Tusk and Yoga Hosers. During the discussion, he discussed how the original plans to have Jay and Bob serving as the “Quint” character in the film (with Silent Bob being killed) is no longer the case.

Discussing his latest draft, Smith said (per JoBlo), “Right now I’m in the middle of that, and I’m stripping Jay and Silent Bob out of it. The first draft I had ever done, Jay and Silent Bob were riddled throughout it, and now I want that movie to be by itself. Jay and Silent Bob are gonna come back in Mallrats and stuff like that, so I’m just de-Jay-and-Bobbing Moose Jaws.”

The film, which is literally just described as “Jaws with a moose,” will star Genesis Rodriguez, Harley Morenstein, Johnny Depp, Harley Quinn Smith and Lily-Rose Depp, along with Chris Jericho.
