Writer and director Kevin Smith recently took to Twitter over the weekend and revealed that production begins on the previously announced upcoming film, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, in one week. You can check out his tweet below.

Kevin Smith wrote on the news: “I first posted about #JayAndSilentBobReboot on @instagram 2/9/17. It’s been 2 years and 1 week since that post, during which time I almost died. But a week from Monday, we finally start rolling on Reboot. Never give up, Kids. Even when your heart wants to.”

The new film will serve as a sequel to 2001’s Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. The first film in Smith’s View Askew series, Clerks, was released 25 years ago and was the directorial debut for Smith. Jay and Silent Bob Reboot will be released by Saban Films.
