Mads Mikkelsen Walked Out of a Fantastic Four Audition

Mads Mikkelsen had an audition for the 2015 Fantastic Four reboot but walked out in the middle of it. The Rogue One and Hannibal star spoke with the Short List and said that he had an audition for a role in the film — apparently that of Reed Richards — but left in the middle. He has previously told Xpose that the audition involved him having to “pretend to extend his arms out like a rubber man,” in the site’s words.

“I think I walked out on the Fantastic Four one,” Mikkelsen told the Short List. “I think I actually said, ‘I can’t do it. It’s not about you, I’m sorry, this is wrong.’”

Miles Teller portrayed Richards in the critically-reviled reboot of the Marvel property, which was a money-loser for Fox.
