Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm released new images and photo stills today for the upcoming live-action Star Wars TV series, The Mandalorian. The images were revealed today at the show’s panel at Star Wars Celebration. You can check out the image gallery along with the full video of the panel below.

Today’s panel was hosted by writer and executive producer Jon Favreau, director and executive producer Dave Filoni, and executive producer Kathleen Kennedy. The upcoming series will debut on Disney+ later this year.

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal as the unnamed Mandalorian character, Gina Carano as Cara Dune, and Carl Weathers as Greef. The panel also teased an early look at the first-ever live-action Star Wars TV series. Other cast members include Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte.

Other episodic directors for the show include Bryce Dallas Howard, Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, Rick Famuyiwa, and Deborah Chow. The series will be set a short time after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

Here are some choice notes on the show from the panel:

* The Mandalorian (Pascal’s character) is a mysterious lone gunfighter on the outer reaches of the galaxy. Some believe he has “questionable moral character.” The character is similar to ones from western films.

* The Mandalorian’s ship is called the Razor Crest, and it’s an old army gunship.

* Cara Dune is an ex-rebel shock trooper and described as a loner. She’s having trouble reintegrating into society.

* Greef is the head of a guild of bounty hunters. He’s looking for someone going after a product for a shady client that’s said to be very valuable. He gives Mandalorian his mission to find this product to get the job done.

* The legendary 501st Legion will appear on camera for the first time in history for the series.

* IG-88 is not in the series. It’s actually IG-11, voiced by Taika Waititi.

The show premieres on Disney+ on November 12, 2019. Disney+ marks the company’s first direct-to-consumer streaming service.
