Marley Shelton Returning For Scream 5 As More Cast Members Announced

We have another returning cast member for Scream 5 as Marley Shelton will bring Judy Hicks (and hopefully her lemon squares) to the new film. Deadline reports that Shelton will reprise her role as the Woodsboro deputy in the new film, who served as an annoyance to Courteney Cox’s Gale Weathers due to her apparent flirtations with Dewey (David Arquette).

Shelton is the latest Scream franchise cast member to join the new film, following the announcement earlier today that Neve Campbell is returning as Sidney Prescott.

But that’s not all; we also have several new cast members as Deadline reports that Kyle Gallner (Veronica Mars, CSI: NY), Mason Gooding (Love, Victor), Dylan Minnette (13 Reasons Why), Jasmin Savoy Brown (The Leftovers) and Mikey Madison (Better Things) have all signed onto roles in the film. They join the previously-announced Jack Quaid, Melissa Barrera, and Jenna Ortega in the film. The movie will be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett from a script by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. Creator Kevin Williamson and Radio Silence member Chad Villella are executive producing the with Project X Entertainment’s Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and William Sherak serving as producers.

Scream 5 (not the official title) will release on January 14th, 2022.
