Married…With Children Animated Series in the Works, Original Cast Returning

Married…With Children is coming back in animated form, with the original cast returning for the revival series. Deadline reports that an animated series reviving the iconic 1990s Fox series is in development and that Ed O’Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate, and David Faustino are all set to reprise their roles as the Al, Peggy, Kelly, and Bud Bundy.

The series is being written by Family Guy co-executive producer Alex Carter, who will served as EP and showrunner. Sony Pictures TV is developing the series, which is not yet set up at a network or streaming service and is being shopped. Multiple outlets are said to be interested.

The original series ran for 11 seasons and helped to elevate Fox as a major player on broadcast TV.
