Marvel Almost Announced Phase Five at San Diego Comic-Con As Well

Marvel made big waves at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend when they announced their Phase 4 schedule, including TV shows. But they almost announced Phase 5, too. Kevin Feige told MTV News that they considered whether to announce the Phase Five films, which they already have mapped out, but decided to hold back.
“We debated what we should announce today,” Feige told the outlet. “Should we announce [Phase] Four and Five? We’ve planned them out, we’ve got five years down the road. And I was like, ‘I think eleven projects in two years is plenty.’ Having not mentioned anything for two or three years.”
He added that the next Avengers team will “be a very different team than we’ve seen before. That’s what Endgame was all about. It will be a very different incarnation with some people you’ve already met and some people you haven’t.”
The first film of Phase Five will be the Black Widow prequel film, which arrives on May 1st, 2020.
