Marvel Reportedly Picks Director For Blade Film

Marvel has reportedly found the director for their MCU Blade film. Deadline reports that the studiop has settled on Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli) to direct the film. A deal to lock Tariq in is not yet complete, but should he sign on he will direct a script fromo Stacy Osei-Kuffour.

The new film will star Mahershala Ali as the titular character. Marvel has been seeking a director for the film since Osei-Kuffour was brought on and went through meetings from March to June, with Tariq’s vision being the one they went with.

Plot details for the film have yet to be revealed, though it will be part of the MCU. There is not currently a release dare set for the film, which was announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2019.
