Marvel Reportedly Seeking Writers For Blade MCU Film

Marvel announced their plans to bring Blade into the MCU back at Comic-Con last year, and they are now looking for writers. THR noted in an article about inclusivity in writer’s rooms that the studio is currently seeking a writing team to tackle the new film, which would bring the popular vampire hunter from their comics into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The news isn’t too much of a shock; after all, it was specified at the time of the announcement that Blade wouldn’t arrive until Phase 5 of the MCU. Phase Four will take us into early 2022 at this point, starting with Black Widow in May of next year (pending potential pandemic-enforced changes) and ending with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in March of 2022.

All we know about Blade is that Mahershala Ali will be playing the role. More details are sure to arrive in the coming months, however.
