Avengers: Endgame marks the 22nd film in the MCU’s ongoing library of superhero films, and coupled with annual films from DC and Sony Pictures’ X-Men saga which is only just now coming to a close, it adds up to a lot of superhero films out in theaters these past several years. Many have long since thought the public would one day tire of this as ‘superhero fatigue’ spread, though the box office certainly doesn’t suggest as such, and nor does Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

During a recent Reddit AMA, Feige was asked about this phenomenon and had this to say:

“Nobody would get fatigued before the creative forces at Marvel Studios who do this 24 hours a day, seven days a week. So we believe that if we’re still taking risks and making unique choices to keep ourselves excited, the audience will feel the same way.”

Feige is one of the most notable behind-the-scenes names for the MCU, given that he is listed as a producer for every single one of the films thus far released in the franchise. He’s also credited in the same role for the upcoming Dark Phoenix film and has similarly had his hand in other Sony Pictures Marvel movies in the past, dating back to the original X-Men and Spider-Man films from 2000 and 2002, respectively.
