Marvel Studios is skipping Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this year. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told Screen Rant that the company will be skipping out on a big presentation at this year’s big comic book and pop culture convention.

“We’re going to do um, of course, Marvel will have a presence [at Comic-Con],” Feige said. “Marvel Studios will have a presence there only in that there will be 10th-anniversary materials and a 10th-anniversary panel. Not doing Hall H this year.”

Feige didn’t tell the site why the company was skipping Hall H, where it has traditionally hosted its panels for upcoming films. However, it is worth noting that all of the studio’s films for 2018 will have been released by SDCC, with Ant-Man and the Wasp opening on July 6th (SDCC is July 19th through the 22nd). It’s likely the studio will not be ready to present material from the next MCU release after that, Captain Marvel, which opens on March 8th, 2019.

It is also worth noting that Marvel Studios only handles the film side of the MCU, so we may still end up seeing panels for Marvel TV content like the Netflix shows, Runaways, Cloak & Dagger and — if renewed — Agents of SHIELD.
