Max Renews Creature Commandos For Second Season

The first DC Universe property is continuing on, with Creature Commandos renewed for season two. Max announced on Monday that they have renewed the DC adult animated series for a second season.

The announcement comes midway through the show’s first season, which has been a hit with critics and fans. It ranks as the third most-watched show in its first week for any show on Max with over 22 million minutes watched. The season one finale, which is written and executive produced by DC Studios co-chair James Gunn, is set to release on January 9th.

Gunn and Peter Safran sid in a statement, “We’re thrilled to team up with Max for another season of Creature Commandos mayhem. From our spectacular first season of Peacemaker to the astonishing run of The Penguin to the record-breaking launch of Creature Commandos, Max has consistently delivered above industry expectations and beyond our wildest imaginings. Thank you, Casey, Sarah, Pia, Sono and the entire team for your tremendous support of DC Studios. We are proud to call Max home.”

The show features the voices of Steve Agee as Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sean Gunn as GI Robot & Weasel, David Harbour as Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, Indira Varma as The Bride, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. The first season is described as follows:
