The composer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman is set, and it’s Reeves’ longtime collaborator Michael Giacchino. THR reports that Giacchino, who composed Cloverfield, Let Me In, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and War For the Planet Of the Apes for Reeves, will score the upcoming DC superhero film. Reeves showed up at an event at London’s Royal Albert Hall, and in a mock proposal, asked Giacchino to score the film which he of course accepted.

Giacchino has also scored several superhero films beyond his Reeves collaborations like The Incredibles, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Spider-Man: Far From Home. He will also compose the music for Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.

The Batman stars Robert Pattinson in the titular role, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner. It will release on June 25th, 2021.
